It is with immense sadness that the Murdoch family must announce David’s death. As Cape Ship Models was a one-man operation, it cannot continue. We will continue to enjoy David’s beautiful work thanks to his many models that decorate our home, and will maintain this site so that people can view his work.

I specialize in repairing and restoring ship models. With each model, I aim to preserve the integrity of your model and to retain as much of the work and techniques of the original builder as possible. Please see the Restoration page for more information.

My workshop is in Chatham, on beautiful Cape Cod, where I am surrounded by the ocean. The Cape Cod Chronicle published an article about my work, which you can read here. My ship models are just one reflection of my love for all things nautical; I also operate Chatham Water Tours in the summer!
